Baritone Earl Coleman, The William and Isabelle Curry Faculty Chair in Voice, and pianist Yien Wang present an all-English recital featuring classical art songs and arias, music of Broadway, and African-American spirituals. Composers include Purcell, Handel, Quilter, Finzi, Rodgers, and Sondheim. Featured spirituals are dedicated to African-American concert and operatic pathfinders of the 20th Century.

Grammy-nominated international touring artist Paul Galbraith makes his first appearance in Columbus. Cited for his "exceptional artistry" (The New Yorker) and presenting concerts that are "exhilarating beyond compare...a joy" (Guitar Review), Galbraith performs on a specially constructed 8-string guitar which he plays in the position of a cello, allowing for stunning performances of masterworks from the repertoire.

He is joined by pianist Gila Goldstein and cellist Andres Diaz in a program of favorite Romantic works. Sergiu Schwartz holds The William B. and Sue Marie Turner Distinguished Faculty Chair in Violin at the Schwob School of Music.

One of the world's famous living guitarists, Grammy-winning performing artist David Russell makes his third appearance in Columbus, performing masterworks spanning the 500 years of the guitar repertoire. Called "the high priests of brass" (Newsweek), The American Brass Quintet performs a diverse program that includes ABQ editions of Renaissance masterworks of William Brade and Josquin des Pres, gems of the brass quintet repertoire of Anders Hillborg and Osvaldo Lacerda, and Copperwave-an ABQ commission from prize-winning composer Joan Tower.
