A generous scholarship program provides financial assistance to
talented music students based on performance ability and academic
standing. The Schwob School of Music’s primary concern is the education
of promising musicians regardless of their financial circumstances.
During the current academic year, the Schwob School of Music has awarded
over $338,000 in music scholarships and assistantships.
Undergraduate Scholarships range from small awards to full tuition,
plus housing and food allowances. Service Awards are available to
those majoring in fields other than music and elect to perform in one or
more of the University’s student performing organizations.
Graduate Assistantships which include stipends, waiver of tuition and
scholarships are available for qualified applicants pursuing the MM
Music Education Degree with an emphasis in General Music, Conducting, or
Pedagogy. The Woodruff Award provides a five thousand dollar ($5,000)
annual stipend and is renewable for up to four years for a total of
twenty thousand dollars ($20,000).
