Graduate Assistantships in Music
Annual Stipend Plus Tuition Waiver
Annual Waivers:
In-state: tuition of approximately $3,000
Out-of-state: tuition of approximately $10,000

Duties: 9.5 hours per week of relevant department service under faculty supervision plus participation in appropriate ensemble(s).

Degrees Available: Master of Music in Music Education, with concentrations in Conducting, General Music, or Pedagogy (one-year and two-year programs are offered)

The Schwob School of Music of Columbus State University, one of the leading and fastest-growing music schools in the Southeast, is housed in the new RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in downtown Columbus, GA. The RiverCenter includes three concert halls and an instructional facility among the finest in the country. Over 6000 students attend CSU classes on a 132-acre suburban campus convenient to Columbus’ many attractions, located just ninety minutes southwest of Atlanta. The artist faculty of the Schwob School of Music serves an internationally diverse student body, and the school’s performing organizations provide a variety of performance opportunities. The Schwob School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the Georgia Department of Education. The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accredits Columbus State University.
