Atlanta Symphony Orchestra trombonists Colin Williams, Bill Thomas and George Curran have been named Artists in Residence at Columbus State University's Schwob School of Music for the 2009-2010 academic year. Details of their activities at CSU will be updated on this page. In addition to their performances and masterclasses, we are also very pleased to announce the upcoming release of their CD recorded in Legacy Hall at CSU in June, 2009. The CD, engineered and produced by Dr. Bradley Palmer, will be released in late 2009. We are also very proud to announce the inaugural Southeast Trombone Symposium, to be held June 22-26, 2010 at the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University. This workshop will feature Colin Williams, Bill Thomas, George Curran and Bradley Palmer as the faculty, and will be an intensive five-day symposium aimed at helping students with audition preparation, solo performance, orchestral section playing, as well as technique and musicianship. More on the Artists in Residence activities, the upcoming CD and the Southeast Trombone Symposium will be posted on this site in the coming weeks and months.
